What is beyond birth?

In September 2021 I became a part of the @themammacoach family and completed my practitioner training in Sophie Burch’s Beyond Birth services.

What does this mean I can offer you?

I am offering extra support for you and your partner in preparation for your parenting journey. Like an antenatal class but focusing on your mental wellbeing journey through to parenthood.

MY REASON WHY…

When I was preparing for motherhood I started hypnobirthing classes earlier than most, read many books on the birth and bought every item listed on recommended birthing websites. The one thing I didn’t think to prepare for was what comes after, both mentally and physically. When you walk through the door with your new baby and start your new journey, what comes then, surely like most things in life there would be a step by step guide on how to navigate this next part? I have coached people since 2018 on how to prepare in both their careers and personal lives for transitions and changes, I’d say I’m an expert and I back myself. It’s just with my journey into motherhood I subconsciously assumed I knew what was coming and therefore didn’t need to mentally prepare or even speak to my own coach about heading into this new chapter of my life.

For me, my journey 6 weeks post-partum saw me diagnosed with Post-natal Anxiety (PNA a form of Post-natal depression) that was eventually treated with anti-depressant medication. My life was turned upside down, however, the journey I have been on with my own personal growth and person I am today enables me to help others who might also need support.

This series of sessions will help prepare you, keep your mental wellbeing in balance and ultimately help you to cope with the challenging days, so you can really enjoy the amazing times that motherhood can bring.

 HOW WE CAN WORK TOGETHER

I suggest you join the programme from your third trimester and I host the sessions on Zoom for ease of attendance.

They will be held on a Monday at 8 - 9pm and a Thursday at 12:30 - 1:30pm.

You can choose to space out the sessions, attend them alone or with a partner and they cover the following topics:

  • Mindfulness and relaxation exercise

what is the investment?

Total investment for the six sessions is $1200 HKD per person. The group sizes are capped to eight people.
